My responsibilities also included assisting with various tasks such as making copies, laminating materials, and documenting student progress and behaviors to ensure ongoing support and development.
As a Special Needs Bus Monitor, I played a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students from Pre-K through 12th grade. I assisted with wheelchair lifts and tie-downs, ensuring secure transportation for students with mobility challenges. My responsibilities included conducting daily cleaning of the bus to maintain a hygienic and healthy environment for all passengers. I implemented positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good behavior and create a supportive atmosphere, fostering trust and cooperation among students during their daily commutes
Employed as a traditional Substitute Teacher from August 2015 through October, at which point I was designated as a long-term substitute in a 5th Grade Science classroom. During this period, I successfully managed classroom activities and conducted lessons independently, demonstrating strong teaching and classroom management skills. Following the return of the full-time teacher, I resumed my role as a traditional substitute, gaining experience across a variety of academic settings. In March, I was recalled to the 5th Grade Science class for the remainder of the school year, where I focused on preparing students for end-of-year exams and supporting their transition from elementary school.
