Experienced attorney seeking a part-time probate law position. After nearly 30 years as an employment law attorney, I was introduced to simple estate planning & probate practice when I joined Borders & Borders on a part-time basis in 2021. Because Border & Borders is primarily a real estate closing firm, my initial practice was limited to situations involving the interplay between real estate & probate, i.e. when an heir to an estate sought to sell real property owned by the estate. However, I was able to expand & grow my practice. Working just 16 hours per week, I currently have at least 60 open probate matters, & am receiving referrals from past & present clients on a regular basis. I love helping people through what can be a confusing & intimidating process during a difficult time in their lives, having recently lost a loved one.
