I specifically worked on the Quality Improvement subgroup. This included reviewing incident reports and any evident trends, doing audits on any subject that was part of the improvement area of that month (ex. Bedside handoff, Incentive Spirometry Use, etc.), among others. I personally created a workflow task bar during our EPIC transition that allowed a uniform, systematic way for employees on our unit to look up patients at shift arrival. I also streamlined our Floor Arrival Checklists (tasks that are to be completed when a post-op, transfer, or admit arrived).
