Katie McDowell

I assisted on calls with deputies and road along to collect evidence from crimes scenes. I then helped examine evidence using forensic techniques, such as carbon fingerprinting and DNA swabbing. I aided in the pulling and organizing of evidence in the office in order to process and file information.

I aided in research concerned with mutations and how they are correlated with cancers. I did wet lab research with techniques such as dialysis, gel electrophoresis, mass spectrometry, and PCR. I wrote weekly reports and completed presentations in front of the lab and the university.
