Recruits families for the Migrant Education Program and maintains year-round recruitment schedules
and preparations of required reports.
Assists in training MEP recruitment personnel, including seasonal recruiting staff.
Responds to stakeholder needs in relation to the program.
Maintains the MEP database.
Assists Program Coordinator with MEP outreach.
May act as the Records Manager designee for signature collection and data storage in accordance with Federal and State Migrant Program guidelines.
Manages paperwork for student identification, qualification, and services.
Monitors enrollment, transfer, and withdrawal of Migrant students and ensures proper
documentation. Maintains and updates confidential student data using a database that identifies
and tracks migrant program students’ eligibility and academic needs.
Acts as a liaison between migrant students and districtwide service providers (nutrition services,
temporary recruiters, community service providers and student support services).
Successfully completes annual State of Alaska Migrant Interview / Certification training.
