Role of a RN includes triage and assessment of ill and injury patients of all different acuities. I work with providers to monitor and treat those patients using skill that include establishing IVs, administering medications in multiple routes, EGK interpretation and cardiac monitoring, wound care, and patient teaching. When needed, I precept new staff into the department and have worked as back up charge.

The role as an EMT involved stabilizing, treating and transporting ill and injury patients to the hospital. The role included vital sign monitoring, O2 therapy, extrication, wound care, splinting and c-spine precaution.
