  • In this position, I act as the AM Dispatcher for the Inverness Bus Compound.
  • I am responsible for overseeing more than 30 school bus routes each morning, beginning at 4:30am. If we have any routes that need to be covered, it is my job to quickly find a driver to cover both regular routes and Field Trips.
  • I utilize multiple systems in order to track buses, read maps and assist drivers in navigating when necessary.
  • Provide support to school, district, and department staff for automated systems as needed.

Mobility Manager

  • As the Mobility Manager , I was the Project Manager for the Veterans Transportation Service (VTS) a brand new program being rolled out in our facility and responsible for the initial implementation, development and management of this new VA grant-funded program. My proficiency in MS Excel helped immensely as I used spreadsheets to help in the initial program development phase, as well as scheduling transportation requests, scheduling drivers, establishing multiple routes each day, assigning vehicles, financial reporting, monitoring budgetary and grant-funding deadlines.
  • My duties were mainly administrative as I developed, analyzed, evaluated, modified and improved upon the efficiency and effectiveness of every element of our VTS Program, including: routing, vehicle scheduling processes, overall program work methods, reporting procedures and various integrated community transportation resources.
  • I oversaw and monitored all functions and aspects of the VTS Program, including hiring and training staff, scheduling routine & urgent ambulatory transportation requests for our veterans.
  • An essential part of my job was the ability to multi-task while remaining calm under pressure in an extremely fast-paced environment. I simultaneously used professional skills in surveying, evaluating, making quick decisions and the ability to carry out appropriate actions in order resolve complex issues. Additionally, I used several systems simultaneously such as Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS), RouteMatch (Transportation Routing software), Vista, MS Outlook and several spreadsheets in order to process the high volume of daily requests.
  • As a manager, I demonstrated a high level of organizational skills on a daily basis. as I worked to coordinate all aspects of the transportation piece including mobility type, mode of transportation available in specific areas, driver certification, facility factors and logistical limitations.
  • Along with the utilization of MS Excel to operate and track several aspects of the VTS Program, I also demonstrated a proficiency in MS Word and Powerpoint.
  • Formulating Fiscal Budgets and tracking funding was also a major part of my duties. I regularly submitted revised budget plans to VTS Central Business Office in order to make adjustments to our existing budget, providing any required supporting documentation to justify requests.
  • I managed the VTS Fund Control Point by monitoring transactions and tracking expenditures. I worked closely with vendors, contacting, logistics, corporate office, and various other departments in order to obtain goods, services and to resolve any funding issues. I monitor all monetary transactions and reconcile any outstanding orders or payments.
  • As a manager, I maintain confidentiality regarding the personnel I supervise and program data. I addressed many concerns, complaints and suggestions from a variety of customers, always maintaining confidentiality in every circumstance.
  • Lastly, I was responsible for promoting the facilitation of veteran access to a variety of transportation services, including the integration of coordination of community resources. I cultivated multi-agency partnerships in order to best match the veteran's mobility needs to the appropriate mode of transportation. I researched the needs and demands of veterans, identified transportation alternatives, facilitated communications between agencies and analyzed costs involved in each different situation.

As a Lead Accounting Technician I reviewed and approved accounts payable transactions, ensuring that all regulatory laws were enforced. I reviewed all invoices for Fuel purchases and verified all supporting documentation in order to approve them for payment.


I utilized skills to interpret regulations, review current processes, evaluate procedures and implemented changes in accounting procedures and practices.


I compiled, analyzed and summarized data from the Automated Voucher Examination and Disbursement System (AVEDS) in order to resolve complex issues regarding the payment of invoices in accordance with (IAW) the Prompt Payment Act.


During my last two years as a Lead Technician, I identified trends, discrepancies and patterns for further analysis by our staff accountants.


I performed fiscal year-end review and close out of all Bulk, Into plane and PC&S Fuel contracts.


I prepared and posted Journal vouchers and 1081's in order to balance fuel contracts. I worked closely with Contracting in order to ensure that all price modifications were received on a timely basis. This helped our department cut the amount of monthly adjustments by 50%.


I served as a liaison between contracting and our customers, such as BP, Exxon and Texaco, in order to resolve contractual and billing discrepancies that impeded timely delivery of fuel and specialty fuel products.


I prepared and reconciled trial balances and maintained general ledger accounts. I oversaw the workload of 3-5 accounting technicians, providing guidance and training when needed. I developed and facilitated a training class that provided instruction on preparing and posting all manual price adjustments. I also provided training for the entire department
on the proper way to calculate an interest penalty payment, in accordance with the Prompt Payment Act.


I audited funding documents and monitored administrative and financial changes that were issued against fuel contracts.
