Skyline Electric
11.2024 - 06.2025
I was organized into the union and hired on with Skyline Electric. The jobsites I worked at were for Northrop Grumman off of 8400 W and 4100S in Magna, UT. The work consisted of mostly industrial applications working with RMC and explosion proof boxes. While at Skyline I learned how to work with Rigid conduit and cast iron receptacle boxes. I made up a couple of panels as well as running heat trace on the roof of one project. The main things I worked on were getting RMC ran to various locations for lighting, receptacles, heat trace, sub panels, and grounding. I also worked on terminating the wire, pulling wire for all different circuits, and putting up cable tray.
Apprentice Electrician
Taylor Electric
09.2021 - 10.2024
Upon my return to Taylor Electric, I helped to complete the Carvana Warehouse in Tooele, Utah. I helped with many projects including the Deseret Peak Temple in Tooele, Utah. This job specifically challenged me to pay extra close attention to detail and take pride in my work as they were very particular of placement on everything. I did most of the underground for the site which also had a maintenance building, and a stake center included. My most recent jobsite was the Applied Science building up at the University of Utah. It was on this jobsite where I was chosen to step into the role of a floor lead. I did all the one line conduit work, mounted all of the panels around the floor including everything in the electrical room, all of the branch circuit piping out of the panels, a little bit of wall rough, pulled all of the branch circuit wire, marked layout for can lights, worked with other trades leads and foreman where our installs clashed with theirs, managed a couple of guys and laid them out on tasks that needed done, and I got to do some site light poles.
Residential Electrician
Broken Arrow
05.2021 - 09.2021
With Broken Arrow I did a lot of homes around Tooele County. It was basic new home construction with some small kitchen and basement remodels. I left because I wanted to get back into commercial so that I could challenge myself and grow my knowledge of electrical work.
Residential Electrician
Any And All Electric
03.2021 - 05.2021
My time with this company was spent doing roughs and finish electrical mainly for high end homes in Park City, Utah and some track style homes in Lehi, Utah. I left because the commute most days was over an hour and there didn’t seem like there was much room for growth.
Apprentice Electrician
Taylor Electric
02.2019 - 12.2020
I began working for Taylor Electric where I worked in their shop. While working in their shop I learned the different materials needed in the field to complete jobs and delivered them to the different jobsites. After roughly 6 months of delivering parts I was put on a jobsite where I continued delivering parts to guys around the site and seeing them installed and how they worked. I did that for about 4 more months. I then got the chance to start installing different rough type work on the jobsite (Primary Childrens). In my time at this site, I got to run conduit (mainly ½” and 1”), run some mc, pull wire through conduits for homeruns and lighting, rough install (mounting boxes for outlets and switches), and a little bit of one line.
