Kaydra Woods

I am a compassionate and dedicated individual with experience in home healthcare, particularly in dementia care. I excel at communicating effectively, building strong relationships, and adapting care to meet individuals needs. As a physical therapy intern, I have experience in relieving pain and reducing patient stress. I am skilled in monitoring patient progress, project management, and problem-solving. I will be graduating with a strong foundation in human anatomy and kinesiology. I am prepared to contribute meaningfully to a physical therapy program.

I job shadowed Will Allen, Southeast Kansas Orthopedic and Sports Therapy in Fort Scott, during the summer of 2024. I was able to intern a few days a week in the mornings at Will Allen's clinic. I was able to see around 3-5 clients on each visit. I observed Will Allen's work and after used my own time to do more research on the conditions and rehab programs for each patient. 

I am just beginning to shadow at Pinamonti Physical Therapy in Pittsburg Ks, during the summer of 2025. I am able to observe a few times a week in the afternoon. I will be able to observe and learn more about physical therapy through Pinamonti's program and its advanced technology in the field of physical therapy. I am able to observe multiple physical therapists and physical therapy assistants at this location.

By August 2025 I will have accumulated all-together 30+ hours of internship from both Southeast Kansas Orthopedic and Sports Therapy and Pinamonti Physical Therapy.
