When i was 16 my grandma was really sick and while my mother was at work after i got off of the school bus i would have to take care of her by myself while my mother was at work. After she passed on that is when i realized i wanted to take care of people who couldn't take care of themselves anymore i want to give back to the community in the only way i know how and that is with taking care of people that cannot take care of themselves anymore. Then in November i lost my father to leukemia and the hospital staff didn't take care of him the way he needed it which made me realize that it just takes that one nurse or aide to make the patient feel at home. My father and grandma played a big roll in my life so when they both passed on i knew that i would want to make people feel as comfortable as they could be until it is time for them to go home for good.
