Accomplishments

  • I was a part of the team that launched the Meijer Pickup service at the Detroit location. I helped organize all of the training sessions at other stores, provided insight from past experience working in the department, and managed the team once the service was available for use by customers and running. I communicated with the construction teams to understand the contracts we had with the equipment to be able to receive the necessary service on any equipment that wasn't functioning properly.
  • After being promoted to a team leader position, I was quickly trained to take on more responsibility in the store. I am trained to be the store director in charge. I have been selected to be a certified trainer to help form the trainees into effective store directors in charge.
  • Been in committees to discuss and plan the best ways to develop, implement, and manage shrink and loss in the store. This included understanding inventory documentation, invoice reports, receiving documents, and how they impact the store. While in charge of the store, I have had to speak with drivers to figure out when deliveries are going to arrive if they aren't on time, and also have to speak with them about where it goes, and make sure all the product is properly protected and stored.
