  • I worked along side with teachers to ensure the students I worked with would get the best kind of support and education during the small group times I would spend with them, I worked with every grade, including kindergarten through fifth grade.
  • I would supervise and help support students during their lunch and recess times, making sure the students understood and followed to mandatory rules during those times and make sure that they were safe.

  • As a para educator my first two years I worked as a regular para, I was able to work with teachers and run small groups with multiple children at a time of all ages and grades I loved working with the different grades and watching and they improved on even just the little things. I also assisted in recess where I would help watch and take care of the children during the times where they would be outside to ensure their safety. Another thing I did as a para is that I would help assist in the lunch room too, to make sure that every child has what they need for their lunch and walk around to ensure that they were all eating properly and safely.
  • My next two years I decided to work as a special education para, which was one the best things I had ever done. I worked with these children mostly as a one on one provider to help them in their classrooms. I provided care for them in not only their classroom but also during their lunch, recess and specialist times. I would also run small groups during this time with multiple children of any grade. After school I worked at an after school program where I got to work more one on one with the students and help them with their homework and assignments that they needed to get done during regular school hours.

  • I assisted and taught children at my mom and I’s child care. I was able to provide motivation and education to the children, helping to support them and help them in any care or need that they needed. Which included, but was not limited to; helping them learn their basic knowledge in shapes, colors, numbers, and letters. Helping them learn how to trace and write their own names, getting them ready for kindergarten! I also helped with going over our days of the week, classroom jobs and many educational and fun arts and crafts. I would also help with preparing and serving food for the children’s breakfast, an snacks, lunch, and pm snacks! The reason I had to close was due to covid.
