At Elite Tutoring Place, I leveraged my problem-solving skills and empathy to significantly enhance students' understanding and confidence, employing innovative strategies and collaborative efforts to achieve remarkable academic progress. My approach, blending in-person and group tutoring, fostered a growth mindset, making a tangible difference in students' academic journeys.
As a first-generation medical student, my aspiration is to pursue a career in trauma surgery, with a particular focus on serving underprivileged minority communities. Being a member of a minority group myself, I am acutely aware of the heightened susceptibility of certain racial demographics to various metabolic ailments. I recognize that factors such as limited access to medical resources, deficient health education, and systemic distrust contribute to these disparities, particularly among African Americans. It deeply troubles me to witness individuals foregoing essential dental care due to financial constraints, resulting in the unfortunate necessity of tooth extraction over treatment. I firmly advocate for the fundamental principle that healthcare is a fundamental human right, not a privilege contingent upon financial means. My mission is to bridge the gap in healthcare disparities and restore faith in the medical system within marginalized communities.
