Summary

After Graduating from Channelview High School, I studied at San Jacinto college for my basics to be in nursing, and after we had moved to Humble, I decided to work to help my family. I then studied at Lonestar college and to this day im doing my classes online. I have Five years of customer service experience as well as three years of supervising roles. I have learned that you need to roll with the changes of environment , and learning to process new change in a work place, I have also learned that team work really makes a workplace. When I would help people, I would never say I don't know, I would always try to find a soulution to a problem, and if im not sure, that's when i would as for assistance, which is okay, asking for help is better then not knowing at all. Due to working in retail, I have learned how fast paced it can be, and accustomed myself to make every customers experience good while keeping the line short. With everything I have learned these past Five years, it has helped me grow professionally as a person, and a worker.

Pet Pro Lead Supervisor

I have been working with PetSuites since 2023, and have learned many things about animals, but since I became a Pet Pro Lead Supervisor, its been very fast paced, especially during the summer time when we have over 150-200 animals. With that, my job is to make sure that my leads do everything by the book, especially when it comes to caring for someone else's pet. Many of our animals come in with directions on how their pet should be fed, and taken care of. I normally open with my coworkers at 6:15 am to get the pets up and ready for walks and feeding, and with that our day begins, after my leads are done feeding and walking, i walk their section to make sure they have charted the pets feeding and whether or not they used the rest room or not. i do the meds for some of the pets, as well as taking out our Senior Staff animals, which are animals that are usually aggressive due to being uncomfortable. When we get new employees during the summer time, I train them to use our online system, as well as how to follow our safety guildline so their work day is steady and efficient.

As a supervisor at SafeSplash SwimSchool, I would be consistently moving around the facility making sure that everything is organized and clean, making the schedule that fits the needs of my teachers, and doing inventory for the swim supplies we sold. Every month I would have to set up meetings with the parents and teachers for them to watch their children's progress, as well as scheduling mandatory meetings with the swim instructors to discuss what we can do to make the swimming lessons better, as well as correcting them on any mistakes or letting them know what they need to work on to be better teachers.


Due to me working six days out of the week, I ended up leaving safe splash so I could focus on schooling for myself.


Some of the supervisor duties I would do consisted of;

  • Training new employees on company policies, procedures and work ethics.
  • Supervised and coordinated activities of staff to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Worked closely with upper management to develop strategies for improving operational efficiency within the department.

My responsibilities as a customer service specialist was to help assist our customers with any problems they may have with our items, answering the phone to direct them to who they need to speak with, Checking inventory, making price changes, calling the customer service line for people who had problems with their credit card, as well as totaling out items that were being stolen to see how much money it would come out to.

When i became a lead, my job was to motivate my cashiers to push for credit cards, talk to them about their performance, and go over their numbers with them. I would always count the cash drawer in the morning as well as at night to make sure we haven't gone over, or if were short. I was all about getting things done on time, and making sure I stayed busy through out the day. Working at Dicks Sporting Goods showed me that it will get busy during specific times, that includes the summertime, our astros day, labor day weekend, and when sports season comes up for everyone.

I worked at Old Navy for a short time period due to financial issues in the home. Due to Old Navy being a retail store for all genders and ages, they would get very busy, especially during sale days. As a Sales Associate at Auto Zone my job was to check people out and work on shipments coming in, as well as attending to Customers needs like changing their car battery, lights, and fuse's. I would go to the store before it opened to set up displays and clean the store so its ready for the day as well as counting the money drawers for the other cashiers, and counting the drawers after closing to make sure the money was the correct amount after a busy sales day. One of the main things we would push for is Warranty's incase something happens in the future, customers could come back and exchange their battery.
