Evaluate patient medical records for the appropriate documentation to meet Alabama Medicaid guidelines

Communicate with clinical teams and insurance representatives to clarify information and resolve any discrepancies

Maintain accurate records or approvals, denials, and pending cases

Guide clinical staff on Alabama Medicaid insurance requirements

Obtain vital signs and EKG's

Start IV's

Administer medications

Work closely with physicians in caring for the patient before and after surgery

Educate patients on pre op and post op instructions for their procedures

Obtain health information and records of patients prior to surgery

Prepare patient post procedure for discharge ( make sure they have the proper equipment to care for themselves at home, education, follow up appointments etc. )

Work closely with physicians to care for and ensure the safety of infants

Recieve infants after deliveries

Preform physical assessments

Obtain and monitor vital signs

Administer injections, newborn medications, check glucose

Perform newborn screenings and hearing exams

Assist physicians with procedures

Educate parents and family on newborn information (ie: feedings, follow up appointments, any questions that may arrise)

Obtain vital signs and EKG's

Obatain consents, labs, check physician orders

Educate patients on procedure ( ie: what to expect before, during, and after the procedure)
