Chinatown Afterschool Program

  • Assist 5th-grade students from John Quincy Adams Elementary School with homework assignments.
  • Plan themed activities for students for each week (ex. Chinese calligraphy, science experiments, riddles, student-run art gallery, etc.)

GUSSEG Summer School

  • Engaged in morning lectures, a seminar, and discussions with undergraduate, masters, and PhD students on topics surrounding international politics, religion, and the state.
  • Collaborated with students to synthesize our learning into a final presentation for our cohort.

Laboratory for Language and Cognitive Development

  • Worked with the lab to conduct research on the cognitive ability of children to identify the emotions that a person exhibits on the outside compared to how they feel on the inside.
  • Recorded each kid's assigned number for data collection and observed how they physically and verbally reacted to the experiment’s simulation.
