I managed about 35 guys split into 12 to 13 crews that traveled the US cleaning hotel and retirement home Ptac(AC), carpet, furniture and drapes. They were on the road 3 - 5 months then home for 2 weeks. My responsibilities were to handle all travel arrangements for movement to and from breaks and if moved to another crew. I also worked with other managers to place employees on crew when hired. This was based on personalities and age range to ensure crews were able to work well together.
