Registered Respiratory Therapist known for delivering exceptional patient care in hospital environments. Experience working with pediatric patients with congenital lung conditions, asthma and traumatic pulmonary conditions requiring close care and innovative treatment approaches. Reliable and flexible, ensuring high standards of respiratory care.
While in Respiratory Therapy School I completed 12 months of clinicals at various hospitals in Middle Tennessee. I followed Registered Respiratory Therapists throughout their entire shift of 12 hours and assist them in most procedures. This includes; Assisting in intubation, performing extubation, responding to Codes and performing CPR, obtaining ABGs and CBGs, Ventilator checks and adjustments, delivering all types of breathing treatments, setting up and cleaning respiratory equipment, and helping to educate patients and family regarding various Respiratory Therapy topics.
I feel that I received the best training through the Respiratory Therapy Program at Volunteer State Community College as well as the best real life experience during over 800 hours of clinicals.
Before becoming a Respiratory Therapist, I worked as an Orthodontic, Pediatric, and General Dentistry Registered Dental Assistant for almost 7 years. I have experience in many dental procedures and patient care methods such as, but not limited to; assisting in complex dental procedures/surgery, administering Nitrous Oxide, taking and developing dental X-rays, taking and developing dental molds, sterilization techniques, infection control procedures, insurance billing, and patient scheduling.
