  • Present complete seasonal collections to the CEO and Creative Director; facilitate feedback loops to align final designs with creative and commercial goals.
  • Develop original heat-stone, novelty fabrics, and beading designs using Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator; collaborate with factories to translate concepts into production-ready embellishments.
  • Oversee fabric and trim sourcing, including appliqué, beadwork, and specialty materials; evaluate cost, minimums, and colorways while maintaining design integrity.
  • Maintain and update color master sheets and development trackers to provide real-time transparency into sourcing, sampling, and approvals.

Product Development & Fit

  • Conduct in-depth fit evaluations and author detailed sample comments for both physical and photographic submissions of all aspects of designs, including: muslins, BMU designs, BMU Layouts, development samples
  • Review Development & Production (PP & SS) photos, check measurement specs; ensure alignment with tech packs and grading specifications prior to production approval.
  • Create and edit detailed technical flats and call-out pages and support tech pack creation for new styles.
  • Execute draped style tape layouts on mannequins to develop silhouettes and solve complex design challenges related to fit, trim placement, and construction.
  • Track and log development, TOP, and PP samples; manage physical sample flow, including bagging, packing, and warehouse-to-design-room transfers in MAS 90.
  • Act as a key resource in buyer meetings, providing detailed knowledge on fabrics, colors, and design details to support sales efforts.

Production & Supply Chain Management

  • Serve as primary liaison for production across 7 international factories, overseeing all communication related to order status, shipment coordination, and issue resolution.
  • Generate and manage purchase orders (POs) in MAS 90 for new and repeat orders; ensure timely barcode creation, PO dispatch, and confirmation of receipt.
  • Coordinate global logistics from China to New York, including booking LCL/FCL freight and domestic trucking, ensuring on-time warehouse delivery.
  • Review and standardize packing lists; reconcile incoming shipments with internal inventory systems to maintain accuracy and avoid discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update purchase order timelines, run WIP reports, and prepare detailed shipment overviews for cross-functional teams, including Sales and Operations.

Technical Design & Sample Management
