A highlight of my career was my assignment as a Press and Public Relations Officer at NATO Headquarters in Kosovo, where I communicated critical information in a dynamic international environment.

Since 2016, I have held the position of Guard Force Commander at the American Consulate General in Istanbul, where I oversee comprehensive security protocols and emergency response strategies, contributing to the safety of diplomatic operations.

As the Guard Force Commander, I am responsible for the proper management of Local Guard Force from all aspects. Main duties and responsibilities include directing and monitoring the conduct and performance of the 100 member LGF. As the Guard Force Commander, I am responsible for overseeing proper operation and maintenance of the LGF fleet. GFC possess a complete understanding of Mission and Department guidelines, thorough knowledge of Consulate compound and its features and all ongoing operations, as well as extensive knowledge of all security teams and their procedures at the Consulate; knowledge of TNP's practices for diplomatic mission, how they apply to the security of the Consulate general facilities; thorough understanding of the indigenous and transnational terrorist groups and organizations actively operate in Turkey; knowledge of Turkish private security laws and regulations, use of force policies and procedures; proficiency in the use of issued firearms and protective gear, knowledge on proper administration of firearm qualifications, act as the leading firearm instructor and delivering firearms training to all armed security personnel.

Additionally, Guard Force Commander oversees proper operation and maintenance of all vehicles and security equipment. As the sole administrator of the Local Guard Force, Guard Force Commander, is responsible for overall management and development of the LGF training program. Guard Force Commander also manages equitable staffing patterns for annual leave, sick leave and overtime. Furthermore, Guard Force Commander approves all duty schedules and leave requests and provides briefings to RSO staff, acts as a liaison with residential security managers and Turkish National Police officials. Acts as a translator in meetings, conference or training sessions. Manages and provides training to the Compound Response Team.
