Same as above. I transferred from the Carson City Extension Office to the Douglas County Extension Office to be closer to my Minden home.
During these years I worked as a Post Master Relief in the Imlay, NV Post Office, worked at the Star Point Trading Post (a store/restaurant combo) as a cashier and stocker and worked at the Pershing County Extension Office as a temporary and part-time employee.
Started in the clerical/secretarial field and promoted into a professional position ending as an Environmental Specialist IV. I worked with distressed small communities to update their failing wastewater/sewer issues. I worked in conjunction with other state and federal agencies as well as non-profit groups to come up with cost-effective solutions to solve each entities particular wastewater problems theses. I administered our agency's grants and loans as well as federal grants for each entity, with a case load of 20-25 entities as any one time. I reviewed each grant and loan for compliance with state and federal requirements as well as reviewing all monthly payment requests for eligible costs. My position required much travelling across the state of Washington. I also hosted annual trainings for these communities on how to put together and monitor the budgets for these multi-million dollar projects.
