Work History

Babysitter

Tamara De'Ghellinck

I worked a few times for Mrs. De'Ghellinck as a babysitter for her three youngest or two youngest children. I mostly stayed with them at their house, but once brought them to Princeton for a day during Mrs. De'Ghellinck's appointment.

  • Played games, worked on puzzles, and read books to young children.
  • Communicated positively with children and guardians.
  • Organized and cleaned home after activities by picking up toys and straightening up play room.
  • Reassured children when upset providing emotional support and stability.
  • Created a fun and educational atmosphere by incorporating age-appropriate games and activities that promoted learning while keeping children entertained.
  • Planned fun outings and educational activities to keep children entertained.
  • Enhanced language development by engaging in storytelling, reading books, and encouraging conversation among the children under my care.
  • Fostered creativity through engaging arts and crafts projects, stimulating imagination and expression.
  • Provided compassionate care during emergencies or illness, administering first aid when necessary and communicating promptly with parents regarding any concerns or incidents.
  • Maintained group discipline through positive reinforcement, behavior modeling, and collaboration with parents.

I made sure to bring my own crafts and activities, and fed them their snack as prompted by my boss.

I currently run the Solebury School Music Instagram.

My jobs are to manage and create engaging posts and stories, and keep up with outreach and social media algorithms. I aim to post three posts a week, and at least two stories. I had created my own daily story called Musical Milestones, where I share a fun fact about some musical milestone that happened on that date in the past. I also manage live streaming concerts and promoting events.

I attended Fiddleheart Camp, a Harry Potter based camp, for years before I got the chance to work as a counselor. I loved it.

I applied and worked for one month, and it was one of the most wonderful times of my life.

My Jobs as Fiddleheart Apprentice:

  • Led groups of children safely through variety of camp activities.
  • Collaborated with other camp counselors to design fun and enriching learning activities for campers.
  • Led conflict resolution efforts among campers, fostering a positive atmosphere conducive to personal development.
  • Assisted with maintenance and upkeep of campgrounds to promote clean environment.
  • Assisted in the successful management of daily operations such as snack, setup, and clean up.
  • Music duty, set up music in the mornings for campers to enjoy.
