In 2023, I had two pieces selected as notables in Best American Science and Nature Writing and Best American Food Writing. My piece, “What’s Left Behind,” was anthologized in The Best American Science and Nature Writing 2016 and The Best American Travel Writing 2016. In 2018, I was a panelist at the Aspen Ideas Festival, where I discussed melting permafrost, antibiotic resistance and my piece about the search for new life at the North Pole. I have been interviewed on a variety of radio broadcasts about my work, including Colorado Public Radio.
