Dance isn’t just something I do—it’s a part of who I am It’s the language I use when words fall short From a young age, I knew dance was my passion I would move to any music I heard, even as a baby, at age five, I joined a cheer team, but over time, my love for it faded Eventually, I decided to leave cheerleading behind and focus fully on dance, and I’ve never looked back Dance has always felt like home to me When I was in high school, I’ve proudly danced with my school’s band for all four years It’s been an amazing journey I was even honored when my former middle school teachers asked me to help choreograph dances, and they trusted me to bring out the best in their dancers I never claimed to be the best dancer, but I was always confident that my passion and hard work would shine throWhen I was named co-captain of our high school dance team, the Sophisticated Sapphires, during my senior year, I took the role seriouslysly Leading while continuing to grow as a dancer wasn’t easy, but I embraced the challenge Every performance became a lesson One of my biggest learning moments was during a band performance in front of over 500 people I had a wardrobe mishap—my ponytail felt loose, and it distracted me just enough to throw me off But I didn’t let it stop me I kept dancing That experience taught me to stay focused and finish strong, no matter what While dance will always be a part of my life, I’ve discovered another deep passion: criminal justice Since middle school, I’ve had a natural interest in solving crimes and understanding the world of forensics At first, I didn’t think much of it, but as the years passed, the feeling grew stronger—I knew I wanted to turn this interest into a career Thanks to my teacher, Ms Davis, and her criminal justice classes, I gained a clear vision of my future I’ve taken her class for two years now, and because of her, I’m confident that I want to become a Crime Scene Investigator (CSI) She opened my eyes to a world where I could make a real difference My passion for forensics isn’t about the spotlight or money—it’s about helping people, solving cases, and bringing justice to families in need I’m fully dedicated to this path I want to study Criminal Justice and eventually work in the field, using science and skill to uncover the truth I believe I would be a strong fit for your college because I am dependable, eager to learn, and trustworthy I know that your school is the right foundation for my future, and I wouldn’t want to start this journey anywhere else
