Summary

Regarding my experiences, my Ph.D work was focused on nutritional status of lactating mothers and children aged 6-24 months across two agro-ecological zones in rural Ethiopia. This study focused on the effect of seasons and agro-ecological on nutrition that also impacts water availability. It emphasized the impact of maternal nutritional status (macro/ micro-nutrient deficiency (Ferritin, zinc and urinary iodine), food security, and infections) availability and accessibility to clean water on nutritional status of their children, from which I’m able published seven paper on international reputable journals. In addition, I have been involved in various biomarker studies (Vitamin A and folate, iodine) and nutritional intervention projects (indicated in my resume) as PI and Co-PIs. From these research work, I’m able to produced over 100 publications during my carrier.
