Kedrick Johnson is from Houston, TX and is an experienced, disciplined, organized, and energetic safety professional with 5 years of experience working as a H2S Technician and over 2 years working as an HSE Rep on multiple oil & gas projects on land.
· Rigging up and rigging down rental equipment on work sites in coordination with field operations.
· Monitor equipment and site conditions to ensure proper protection against H2S hazards.
· Conduct safety walkthroughs regularly to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
· Provide emergency response support in the event of any H2S detection by equipment on site.
· Repair, calibrate and maintain rental equipment on site.
· Remain in communication with on-site personnel to make sure everyone is aware of any changes in equipment or conditions.
· Provide site safety orientations on an as-needed basis.
· Equip personnel with breathing air when required to ensure proper fit, function, and application of the equipment while in use.
· Assist with rescue operations in air assistance, confined space entry, and hot work tasks.
· Gate Guards duties to help ensure site security and documentation of site visitation.
· Provide on-site health, safety, environmental, regulatory, compliance, and medical guidance and support to client’s employees & contractors in the field during all phases of commissioning, drilling, completions, production, new construction, facility maintenance, workover, plug & abandonment, temporary abandonment, decommissioning, pipeline, subsea intervention, and dive operations.
· Monitor client’s employees & contractor performance relative to regulatory standards, as well as client’s HSE processes, procedures, and policies.
· Conduct on-site health and safety audits and verifications.
· Provide field-level HSE support during simultaneous operations involving various groups as well as client operations and third-party operators in the area.
· Participate in the client’s incident investigation and notification process including, but not limited to, initial on-scene incident data collection.
· Assist in the roll-out of client’s health and safety programs, procedures and initiatives and provide support and coaching to the field teams in the implementation process.
· Provide field-level support and guidance on the requirements of the Offshore and/or Onshore Safe Practices Manual, Contractor HSE Handbook, and the client’s Industrial Hygiene Manual.
· Work with the client teams to highlight health and safety issues in the field operations.
· Provide on-site field safety orientations on an as-needed basis.
· Conduct daily visits to field drilling and production operation locations to assess compliance and provide HSE support to the field teams.
· Verify proper use and completion of Safe Work Permits, required inspection documentation, JSEAs, etc. and report deficiencies to appropriate personnel.
· Where possible, be present and involved on location when client permitted tasks and/or other potentially high-risk jobs or activities are being carried out.
· Confirm that Energy Isolation (LOTO) procedures are being followed and isolation plans are in place and sufficient for the work that is being conducted.
· Verify that Barriers (Cordon-Off) procedures are actively and properly utilized on location.
· Provide verifications related to the client’s HAZCOM procedures including, but not limited to, proper labeling, storage, and use of chemicals/materials on location and verify that Safety Data Sheets are available and accessible on location.
· Verify that client Excavation and Trenching procedures are properly utilized, procedures are being followed, and appropriate One Call notifications are made.
