- Respond to patient call lights
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide high quality patient-centered care.
- Observe and report on patient condition for RN
- Record and chart patient information/Vital signs
- Assist family members of patient, report change in mood/emotional condition of both patient/family
- Document interventions on a timely manner
- Assist nursing personnel in responding to emergencies such as falls, potential elopement, self-harm risks, and life saving situations.
- Perform basic patient care including but not limited to: 1. NG tube insertion 2. Maintenance functional activities 3. Dressing changes 4. ECGs 5. Maintenance of enteral tubes 6. Suctioning 7. Blood glucose monitoring 8. Assisting with post-mortem care 9. Phlebotomy 10. Initiation of peripheral IV lines and urinary catheterization 11. Monitoring and managing patient safety, including patients with high suicide risk, dementia, etc
