Sustaining Engineer, Product Development

  • Communicating with OEM Customers: I engage with key OEM clients in mining and heavy industry to address their feedback & align new product specifications with their requirements. OEMs often need new product variants for their own new products, I work closely with sales and the OEMs to meet their needs.
  • New Product Development: Design, test, & document new products according to the company’s Product Development Process(PDP). Tests include performance oriented tests, accelerated durability tests, ingress, & vibration tests.
  • Drive Engineering Changes: I initiate and/or investigate engineering changes for automated lubrication systems and industrial pumping equipment. Sources of engineering changes included customer feedback, production challenges, and supply chain related constraints.
  • Created & supplied technical illustrations for product service manuals: Graphics included detailed views for repair/rebuild of products, often containing intricate section or exploded views.
  • Engineering related software support: I am a “Subject matter expert” regarding the Windchill PLM & SolidWorks CAD software .
  • Drawing & CAD model support: I supply customer drawings and CAD models as requested by technical service, sales, or directly by key customers. This often involves creating customer oriented drawings & shelled CAD models that protect the company’s intellectual property
