Assists in the ongoing development and administration of hospital and department Quality Improvement program.

Perform the duties and responsibilities of the staff registered nurse for patient of the adult population in an outpatient setting.

Serves as a role model and recourse for the nursing staff. Also works with the manager to ensure a well-planned and implemented orientation and training program for new employees. Identifies and recommends training needs of staff.

Coordinates daily activities and distribution of work in specific area assigned. Makes shift assignments taking in account patient acuity, area staffing needs, and staff qualifications.

• Responsible for care management within the scope of licensure for members with complex and chronic care needs by assessing, developing, implementing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating care plans designed to optimize member health care across the care continuum.

• Provided direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing processes.

• Assisted members with management of general medical conditions via telephonic outreach.
