Summary

Knowledgeable machinist with hands on experience and motive to learn! Challenges keep me entertained, because once something becomes easy to me it can get boring. I have always strived to go above and beyond whats expected of me because i hate to disappoint. At a decently young age I have already learned how to use some of the most complicated CNC machinery, such as 5 axis and multi head lathes/mills. Although companies may measure experience in years, please keep in mind i have been doing two set ups every day on these machines for the last 3-4 years. While some others may have been in the industry for longer, they may have only been doing 1-2 set ups a week with higher production counts. I have proven the ability to create high quality components, ensuring all specifications and tolerances are met. Demonstrated proficiency in CNC machining, blueprint reading, contributing to efficient production processes, and working quickly while balancing quality. I multi task by maintaining tolerances on multiple machines at once while even setting up another. I have pride in the outcome of my work, and can assure you that i will meet your companies standards.

  • Manually set up machinery independently, usually doing 2 set ups everyday.
  • Set up and ran 3 head/turret machinery, that can run three separate programs simultaneously working on main and sub side of the part for maximum cycle time. (DMG MORI NZX2000)
  • Familiar with 5 axis milling on a lathe with a single turret below, and a "B head" mill above. This machine also includes a tool magazine that can hold up to 80 tools. (DMG MORI NTX2500)
  • Familiar with Doosan, and Eurotech machinery as well as Moriseiki.
  • Familiar with Fanuc automation software.
  • Optimized tool usage and determined appropriate cutting tools for different materials and tasks without needing to follow a set up tool list.
  • Basic understanding of G and M coding, and machine geometry.
  • Ability to probe tools, or manually pick up offsets using the "scratch and measure" method, and pick up work offsets.
  • Able to make minor program adjustments such as, RPM's, feed rates, changing tool numbers, changing tool rotation, switch from milling to turning mode, etc...
  • familiar with automatic bar feeders, and able to calculate the settings accordingly.
  • Inspected completed parts to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Utilized micrometers and calipers to measure and verify precise tolerances.
