• Undergraduate Research Experience, Professor Francis Faleye, Evaluation of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon (PAHs) and Heavy Metal composition of raw and roasted plantain samples., Extracted 16 different Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon (PAHs) and 10 Heavy Metals (HMs) from raw and roasted plantain samples., Utilized atomic absorption spectrophotometer (AAS) for digestion of the raw and roasted plantain samples., The identification and concentration of PAHs were carried out by gas chromatography GC/FID with the aid of 16 PAH standards.
• Undergraduate Research, Dr. Abiodun Akinsola, The Proximate, Mineral, Phytochemical, Amino Acid and Anti-Nutritional Composition of Avocado Seed (Persea Americana), Extracted different phytochemicals with different solvents from avocado seed sample and subjected to preliminary phytochemical screening., Proximate analysis revealed that the seed of P. americana contains more concentration of fat, protein, carbohydrate, fiber and mineral contents.
• Undergraduate Research, Professor Francis Jide Faleye, Activity Directed isolation of the components of the methanolic root extract of Nauclea latifolia., The active components of the methanolic root extract of Nauclea latifolia was isolated using column chromatography., The isolated compounds were subjected to antimicrobial and antioxidant activities.
