  • Starting to take a lesson of classical piano at 5 years old. yamaha method.
  • Keiko got bachelor degree at Kunitachi Music of College, classical music, performance, arrangement, composing.
  • After graduate the college, I started to play jazz, fusion in Tokyo.
  • 2006 I moved to New Orleans to study New Orleans music.
  • Since I moved to New Orleans, I have played many beloved New Orleans musicians such as,

Marva Wright, Benny Turner, George Porter jr, Johnny Vidacohvich, Marc Stone, Charlie Wooton, Vasti Jackson, Gary Brown, Brass-a-holics and many more

  • On 2014 I joined the band "Playing for Change. PFC band has taken me to 20 countries in Europe, Australia, Japan, and South America. PFC also landed me on some of the most prestigious stages as well that include, the United Nations, the John F. Kennedy Center, Argentina Direct TV Arena, the New Orleans Jazz Festival, Byron Blues Blues Fest as well as more festivals and other venues. With PFC she shared the stage with artists such as the Doobie Brothers, Little Feats, Lee Oscar, Keb Mo, Ellis Hall, and Victor Wooton just to name a few.
  • In 2019, PFC released a video “The Weight.” Performing in the video, Keiko joined Robbie Robertson of The Band, Ringo Starr of the Beatles, and Marcus King. The video received wonderful reviews and was hailed by magazines such as Rolling Stone.

Additional Information

Throughout my performance carrier, I had chance to be around kids all over the world. I have been having the feel that I wanna teach music and what experienced to kids. Just I never had chance to teach piano. I learned piano from Yamaha method, but I know how teaching here is different. I am willing to learn the way to teach here, also I believe that I will be able to share my all the knowledge with kids.
