I have 17 years of experience as part of UPS’s management team. I also worked 17 years as a driver before being promoted into management. Over my 17 years as a supervisor/manager I have managed teams of as many as 70 people. Over the last 9 years, I have served as a dispatch/sort manager. I am responsible for planning and dispatching anywhere from 40-50 routes on a daily basis while planning the hours, geography of each route and planning the most efficient and cost effective way for each route to run. In addition, I also manage the sort team consisting of 20 employees that unload, sort and load packages on the routes. I am skilled at planning my staffing, allocating hours and managing workflow to meet strict production standards. I am also responsible for maintaining and instituting processes to increase efficiency and productivity to meet deadlines as well as cost goals for our operation. I believe I can take my years of experience in safety, planning, productivity and efficiency and be an asset to the team at Teledyne Brown Engineering.
