Senior developer in the Macy’s Systems & Technology (MST) Direct To Customer (D2C) system. Initially working on the Operations team by helping to analyze and develop solutions to issues with the production code and environment. Found ways to eliminate systemic ongoing problems and optimized code to be more proficient. Became the Lead Developer and expert on the D2C to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) process. Used my expertise in COBOL/DB2 to eliminate 14 of the 15 program changes needed to onboard a new WMS facility. Lead Developer on process to track information as it flowed through D2C. This project provided more accuracy and timeliness to the Macy’s dashboard. Senior Developer on the team that allows Macy’s to use Pay Pal and Plenti. . The technical environment consisted of applications using COBOL II/DB2/CICS, VSAM, Easytrieve, XML and (very little Java, Eclispe and SoapUI to support the COBOL backend to web based applications.
