My company was granted the commissioning contract and I was given the opportunity to make it successful. I accepted this challenge and wasted no time making drastic changes to an already struggling group. I immediately began to rebuild and develop a team that has now grown to over 250 employees.

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of work fronts, including 3-week schedules, weekly & daily planning, equipment availability, access/egress, manpower needs, QC, and ensure the safe and efficient execution of all tasks.
  • Accepted direct responsibility for my company’s success or failure after I had made decision to dismantle our original team and start over.
  • Made relentless efforts towards facilitating intimate working relationships between Exxon Commissioning team and CKJV team were key to our success.

With 50 employees under my direction, I was assigned the challenge of ensuring that the Crack Gas Compressor Building (heart and soul of the plant) was completed and turned over on the target date. My team, with an unyielding effort and significant morale shift, completed the building and we were able to turn it over on time. My team also received generous praise from the client for our quality of work and zero safety incidents.

  • Team installed more than 30k' of pipe in CGC building, which resulted in CKJV obtaining mechanical completion of 15 subsystems, and through it all maintained exceptional safety records with execution and delivery of CGC.
  • Provided construction oversight for CGC building, Pre-hydro construction of systems, coordinating construction complete walks, and ensuring restoration sign offs of systems to client.
  • Coordinated and lead CGC building SIMOPS meeting, made decisions on high impact activities based on priorities and end dates, all while making efforts to facilitate harmonious work environment for all disciplines, with high level morale.

Attended 2011 4th annual Foreman Safety Summit in Fort Worth, Selected by Kiewit corporate Sponsors and Managers to represent my district at KOS among all 26 districts.


Graduated Kiewit U Frontline Leadership training. A very high level and in-depth break down of all field-related aspects of leadership.


Pipefitting school instructor for Kiewit's Offshore Division. Created a curriculum for proper flange make up, bolting components, isometric understanding of BOM, torquing procedures, proper tool usage, fabrication of the hands-on portion of the final exam and testing of students at the helper level to Journeyman.


Selected as 1 of 11 employees to attend "Train the Trainer" a Bull Rigging Program in Aurora, CO. for TIC. Gained a in-depth knowledge of corporate rigging practices with applicable techniques and advanced calculations. Currently qualified to train and oversee all Bull Rigging operations for any Kiewit Division.
