Accomplishments

As an accomplished Assistant Store Manager, I excel in fostering a collaborative environment and achieving performance excellence to ensure exceptional customer experiences and enhance brand loyalty. I adeptly manage and adapt processes to dynamic conditions, boosting efficiency and profits. My leadership is motivational, focused on cultivating strong relationships with customers, staff, and upper management. With expertise in sales, personnel management, accounting, and inventory control, I am committed to thorough knowledge of company offerings to deliver superior customer service.

I started my retail career with Wal-Mart as an overnight unloader and quickly was promoted to department manager within 2 months. From there, I quickly advanced to a support manager role and then to an assistant manager with in a year. I was also fortunate enough to assist in opening 4 brand new stores and 1 remodel. On my last store opening I was granted the opportunity to be an In-stock Guarantor. This position held me responsible for making sure the store was 100% in stock prior to the grand opening as well as all the appropriate fixture were available as well.

Although my time at K-mart was much shorter, I was able to accomplish a pretty amazing thing. I was only with the company for approximately 6 months when I was asked to go to their corporate office in Hoffman Estates, Illinois as a Rising Star candidate for their store manager training.

While at The Home Depot, I have been recognized on many occasions. One I am most proud was being the #1 Specialty and Services store in the region (out of 96 stores) and top 5 in the company for approximately 4 years straight. This was based off of overall sales, specialist and pipeline performance as well as many other metrics. Over the course of my time with The Home Depot, I have also received 100s of Homer Awards for living our company values daily. Most recently I was chosen as a district mentor for new ASMs. As a mentor, I would have been a point of contact for ASMs to ask questions and assist in their growth and development.
