- Primary Responsibilities: 2010-2022
- Oversee and complete all preventive and unscheduled maintenance for Resolute's fire systems for the entirety of the mill site, both underground and overhead.
- Systems include dry, wet, halon, and chemical foam, 2 emergency backup diesel pumps.
- Scheduling of outside contractors to repair, inspect, and make necessary repairs.
- Conduct annual inspections of all valves and fire equipment with the insurance inspector.
- Conduct quarterly inspections of all valves and return Excel spreadsheets to the safety department.
- Conduct semiannual fire hydrant inspections per insurance requirements, and report to safety.
- Used Excel and Word documents for reporting, and other systems for ordering parts.
- Meet annually with ERT to explain and update on any and all changes to fire systems for their training and benefit
- Other duties also included maintenance duties, above and beyond fire system, on extended outages over the entirety of the mill.
- Performed maintenance duties ensuring safe practices in repairing and replacing pumps, conveyors, piping, welding and laser alignment of rotating equipment.
- Performed lubrication and inspection of equipment
- Completed safety training and maintained compliance with regulations.
- Worked as a safety advocate for 14 months in the safety department.
- 1993-2010, performed all maintenance tech duties and responsibilities.
- 1989-1993, performed maintenance apprentice duties, including schooling and on-the-job training.
- From 1977 to 1988, I worked in various jobs in the operations and parts department.
