Over the years, I've learned to operate several different types of cranes, ranging from electric, diesel, and hydraulic.

Before operating the crane, I had to do the daily report of inspecting the cranes. For example, the cables, grease fittings, switches, and blocks.

I've led a crew of roustabouts and made sure the operations that were being carried out were done safely and within the procedures and guidelines of the JSA that we went over before each operation.

Some of the loads/lifts that we did were blind lifts, so we had to use radios for safe movement of the loads.

Whenever we had heavy lift operations, I had to make sure that we used the correct block, as well as the correct rigging, to make sure no incidents or breakages would happen.

• On my dedicated route, I was a driver and a guard. I drove to different retail and banking establishments. Logging times of arrival and departure, then making sure of the safety of the messenger (goods carrier) while inside the establishment or outside working the ATMs.
• On some days, we would have an extra person, so I would be the guard to escort the courier inside the establishments and basically "keep an eye out" for any suspicious people or vehicles, then escort them back to the safety of the truck.
• Before heading out from the yard, I had to check fuel levels, oil levels, and water levels. I also had to do a visual inspection of the overall vehicle. We do not leave the yard without making sure the truck is within the guidelines of operating.
