I have a background in working with students and teaching with a focus on academics, as well as social-emotional learning. Students gain confidence and learn social skills while growing academically. I strive for a multi-modal positive learning environment. I have a great rapport with my students. My effective communication with parents fosters a proactive approach. I can read, write, and communicate in Spanish and my goal is to be fluent in the next few years. I am an experienced leader and work closely with the IEP team and staff for the implementation of the student's Individualized Education Plan. I provide differentiated instruction through engaging lessons. I am an accomplished Education Specialist with 10 years of expertise in guiding child development by serving as an inspirational figure and encouraging role model to students with diverse needs. I continually assess students formally and informally, identify behavior issues, and adapt lessons in creative ways to highlight learning strengths. I am committed to providing an orderly atmosphere, a calm yet creative environment, and ensuring the safety and structure in the classroom while teaching children how to adapt to their surroundings. I make learning fun and memorable. I have a strong work ethic, communicate effectively, have patience, facilitate IEP meetings in a confident and timely manner, work well with classroom staff, encourage a team environment, and collaborate with teachers for a positive work environment. Teaching for me is not just a job or career; it is my purpose to inspire, motivate, and encourage students to love learning as I did growing up.
