  • Completed several different habitat restoration and maintenance projects in areas of northern Minnesota and North Dakota. Many projects included invasive species management, herbicide application, and trail construction and maintenance. Projects were partnered with public land management agencies, such as the State Department of Natural Resources, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the Nature Conservancy, cities, counties, and trail associations. Most projects require out-of-town assignments, requiring camping for 4 to 10 consecutive days.

Habitat Restoration Summer Intern

  • Provided lawn and trail maintenance on the preserve grounds.
  • Contributed to habitat restoration for the federally endangered Rusty-patched Bumblebee through wildflower plantings and bee surveys.
