At Whispering Oaks Nursing Home, I volunteered to spend time with the elderly currently living there. I listened to their stories, had meaningful conversations with them, gave them goodie bags, sweets, and sang them a Christmas song. I was only there for a day, but it was a very fun and heartfelt day. I listened to stories about how they grew up, and where they went to school, and what jobs they’ve had before.
