Responsibilities: Responsible for all aspects of nursing in the operating room. Caring for patients from pickup in SCC to finish in PACU. Ensure patient safety, assist anesthesia in intubation, assist scrub tech and surgeons when needed. Supported a culture of excellence within the operating room by actively participating in ongoing professional development, training sessions, and peer evaluations.

Optimized patient care during surgery by skillfully assisting in various operative procedures and handling surgical instruments proficiently. Increased positive outcomes for patients undergoing surgery by promptly identifying potential complications and implementing appropriate interventions.

• Responsibilities: Responsible for all aspects of nursing in the operating room. Service head for the ENT service and co-lead for the neurology service. Caring for patients from pick up in SCC to finish in PACU. Ensure patient safety, assist anesthesia in intubation, assist scrub tech and surgeons when needed. Charge nurse responsibilities when which include: scheduling, staff assignments, staff reviews, and running the Operation Kids program. Represent the OR in the Nursing Practice Council.

• Responsibilities: Primarily telemetry/med-surg unit involving an array of nursing skills. Administration of medications and/or variety of treatments. Monitoring patients while they are an inpatient. Charge nurse/nurse leader role when needed.

• Responsibilities: ENT/Allergy private practice. Administration of allergy injections, allergy testing, accompanies MD to operating room to assist when needed. Responsible for all aspects of allergy clinic, from paperwork to direct patient care; all RN duties while MD seeing patients from assisting with procedures to clerical duties. Supervising three LPN’s daily with schedules, compliance and day to day duties. Created and maintained Nursing Policy and Procedure Manual. Maintained OSHA compliance with entire practice.

• Responsibilities: Outpatient office with five chairs and one bed. Preparation and administration of chemotherapy. Administration of various injections to oncology and hematology patients. Extensive teaching to patients and families. Weekly ordering of drugs and supplies and scheduling of treatments.

• Responsibilities: Oncology Unit involving an array of specialty nursing skills. Prepare adult and pediatric patients for bone marrow transplants, administering chemotherapy and/or for radiation. An acute care setting involving constant ongoing teaching and nursing. Intensive orientation upon employment.

• Responsibilities: General nurse aide duties with emphasis on technical skills, monitor vital signs, morning care, HS care, FSBG, O2 saturations, I/O’s ambulation, non-sterile dressing changes, and flow sheet documentations. Trained in EKG and phlebotomy.

• Responsibilities: Under supervision of RN performed all nursing duties excluding administration of medications in clinics for breast cancer screening, and pediatrics. Also provided care for several weeks to bone marrow transplant patients. Research and presentation of specific patient diseased given weekly to Director of Program.
