Utilization review for Med/Surg, ICU, Telemetry, and Psychiatric patients using Interqual criteria. Conduct reviews of inpatient utilization for compliance with admission criteria and concurrent review requirements.

Focus on daily observation review for appropriate status. Ensure that determination is received for all cases and that all denials are forwarded to the denial team.

Utilization review and discharge planning for patients on

Telemetry and Intensive Care Unit. Coordinating care for patients, families, and the medical team services arranged, including acute/skilled rehab, long-term care hospital, and home care. Served as preceptor and covered for the manager when needed.

Comprehensive care for patients on Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units. Coordination and assessment of patients with physician and medical team. Served as preceptor and resource nurse. During this time, I was certified to teach CPR and first aid. CPR was taught to staff and the public as needed.
