Kelly Hurlocker

I am currently employed with Piedmont Orthopedic Specialists as a triage nurse. I take incoming calls and answer post operative questions. Do prescription refills. I do dressing changes as needed for post operative patients.

Currently employed as a triage nurse for Atrium Neurology Cabarrus. I am currently triaging calls for four providers including doing prescriptions refills. I administer injections and work with a provider if needed.

I was employed at Kannapolis Internal Medicine for approximately five years. I was responsible for triaging calls for six providers and doing prescription refills. I also administered injections, drew lab work, worked with a provider if needed and educated patients on their disease process.

I worked at Meridian Medical Group in Charlotte. Their patient population included adults and children. While employed with them I was the only triage nurse for multiple providers and also did prescription refills. I triaged phone calls appropriately , did refills, administered meds to patients and worked with a provider if needed.

• I was working in the Intensive Care Unit. I was responsible for taking care of critically ill patients, administering medications, helping other nurses with their patients . I also helped physicians with procedures when needed. The reason I left is I got tired of seeing people I know die since I have lived in Kannapolis my whole life.

• I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in May of 1994. Upon graduation I went to work at Carolinas Medical Center Charlotte on an Orthopedic floor. I was responsible for taking care of post op patients, doing dressing changes, administering medications and recognizing critical situations with our patient. I was also responsible for communicating with physicians about the needs of their patients.
