I cared for two children aged 4 and 2. I was responsible for their daily needs as well as social and emotional growth, physical development and exercise, with a large focus on education, cognitive development, and problem solving.

Responsibilities included teaching the general curriculum and integrating diverse teaching strategies to meet the needs of each student in a small, Title 1 school. I was also the head of the Gardening Program, participated in the STEAM initiative, and was on the Cultivating Leaders in Education team. I was the recipient of a STEAM grant through the Panhandle Alliance for Education.

• Followed classroom plans left by class teacher to continue student education and reinforce core concepts.
• Kept students on-task with proactive behavior modification and positive reinforcement strategies.
• Maintained day-to-day classroom management and discipline to promote learning initiatives.
• Developed lesson plans to align with grade-level standards and objectives.

• I worked in collaboration with the lead teacher in our multi age preschool classroom. We provided the educational, emotional, and physical needs for the children following the philosophy of Maria Montessori.
