Kelly Lanckton

Under the direction of New York State's Office of Special Education, I provide regional trainings and effective practices that engage parents and families of early childhood learners to better understand special education processes. I am also responsible to facilitate efforts to help schools and communities better engage families in education.

I also provide targeted professional development and technical assistance to educational organizations and stakeholders.

I work very closely with and collaborate with a team of professionals to increase academic and behavioral student outcomes while ensuring equity and accessibility.

Created and implemented IEPs to define student learning objectives and educational strategies, in addition to applying instructional knowledge and methods to support goals.

Completed intensive leadership training and provided training to colleagues on Applied Behavior Analysis

• Followed classroom plans left by class teacher to continue student education and reinforce core concepts.
• Upheld classroom routines to support student environments and maintain consistent schedules.
• Kept students on-task with proactive behavior modification and positive reinforcement strategies.
• Repeatedly requested as substitute teacher by teachers based on excellent past referrals and trusted performance.
