Kelly Laverick

I currently specialize in managing animal cruelty, neglect, and abandonment cases. I communicate with the public daily to address complaints and promote proper animal care. I handle over 30 urgent cases concurrently, collaborate with law enforcement regularly, communicate directly with perpetrators of abuse, and effectively organize and direct field volunteers.

Independently managed pre- and post-operation care in a minimally staffed volunteer organization. Responsibilities included trapping and vaccinating stray animals, handling fearful and aggressive animals, and educating pet owners on animal care in resource-limited areas. I also facilitated the foster and rehabilitation of injured strays, finding them homes through community engagement, and conducted outreach on the importance of spaying and neutering in cultures where pets serve primarily as protection.

Created and updated website content to show how donations were used, hand-addressed and mailed thank you letters, and communicated daily with donors to express gratitude. Additionally, I initiated weekly calls with global team members to discuss their projects and ideas.

Managed doctors' schedules, responded to client calls about pet emergencies and inquiries, and assisted doctors during appointments. I educated owners on vaccines and procedures, provided post-operative care, and oversaw the feeding, medicating, and exercising of over 40 animals in the kennel. I evaluated animal behavior for group play, administered medications, and monitored the health and behavior of all animals. I effectively multitasked three roles and adapted as necessary.
