Baltimore County Police Department - Baltimore, MD February 2013 to July 2025.

I started my career as a Cadet and finished as a School Resource Officer before getting medically retired. I was on patrol and worked shift work and midnights.

I dealt with many types of calls for service and handled many investigations. Even handled investigations that I had to travel out of state for. I dealt with many people from different backgrounds and cultures.

I then became a School Resource Officer where I became DARE certified and taught the entire 6th grade. I had to build my own lesson plans and present to several classes. I became a trusted resource, a reliable source of support and a dedicated listener for students that may have needed help or just someone to talk to.

When I got put on modified duty due to a medical condition. I then worked with the outreach unit. I helped organize events, set up action plans for major events such as fireworks and parades. To just simple events such as touch a truck or trunk or treats. I helped handle issues with neighbor complaints and many other issues.

• Conducted thorough investigations of crimes, accidents, and incidents, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses
• Responded to calls for assistance from the public, providing aid in various situations such as accidents or medical emergencies
• Apprehended suspects involved in criminal activities using appropriate force when necessary
• Testified in court proceedings as a witness or presented evidence gathered during investigations
• Collaborated with other law enforcement agencies on joint operations to combat crime within the jurisdiction
• Issued citations and warnings for traffic violations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and regulations
• Patrolled assigned areas to maintain public safety and enforce laws, responding promptly to emergency situations
