As the project manager for DLM constructors I coordinated mass construction projects and had to source materials. We had a main contact for lumber that an order went into for a project that had a tight timeline. Unfortunately, the order was tracking late. Proactively, three days before the project start, I went through six other vendors to get the same lumber quicker and ended up getting the lumber for about $2,000 less than the original order and it came in the next day allowing us to start two days early.
