  • Responsible for maintaining a 38-bed hematology/oncology unit and managing a team of nurses and patient care technicians.
  • Providing care to inpatients including thorough assessments and understanding of diagnoses.
  • Work closely with the interdisciplinary team and patients to develop a plan of care, establishing/implementing the plan of care, and assessing changing outcomes continuously.
  • Administering medications safely; proficient charting in EPIC; quickly communicating information to the team in a professional manner.
  • Safe administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy, and stem cells; maintaining care of transplant patients; proficient in blood product administration.
  • First and currently only nurse to administer all Car-t cell products at our Baylor Scott & White location.
